Kawartha Lakes OPP Media Release

In Police Blotter

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) –  On Saturday April 28, 2018 at approximately 4:50 pm officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 7 in the area of Taylor’s Road.

 

The vehicle was located and following an investigation the driver, Donald DOUGLAS, 56 years of age of Colborne, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  •  Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
  • Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) CCC

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on June 7, 2018.

 

The OPP would like to remind motorists that traffic complaints, including possible impaired drivers, can be reported at 1-888-310-1122.
