New Northumberland County Councillor Sworn In

In City Hall

By Cecilia Nasmith/Today’s Northumberland
Northumberland County council has a second female member to join Cramahe Township Mayor Mandy Martin, as Alnwick-Haldimand Mayor Gail Latchford was sworn in at Wednesday’s meeting.

As Deputy Mayor, Latchford had been representing her township for some months as Mayor John Logel took a leave of absence. With his recent resignation, Latchford has been officially sworn in as mayor and Councillor Sherry Gibson appointed as Deputy Mayor.

After she took the oath of office as a county councillor, Gibson took an oath as her alternate.

After having her on county council for some time, Warden Bob Sanderson gave her an official welcome.
