OPP Officer Charges Three Drivers With Stunt Driving In Two Hours

Three more drivers were charged with Stunt Driving in just two hours on Highway 401 in the Municipality of Port Hope on January 20, 2020.

OPP Highway Safety Divison Constable Chad Laperle was monitoring eastbound traffic on Sunday and within the span two hours, three drivers were charged with speeds of 155 kph, 160 kph and 161 kph.

One of the drivers charged lives locally and said he was aware police were monitoring after reading news articles.

All drivers had their vehicles impounded for seven days, driver’s license suspended for seven days and face a minimum $2,000 fine if convicted.
