Northumberland OPP – Driver Charged with Alcohol Related Offences in Colborne

On Tuesday January 14, 2020 at approximately 8:56 pm, a member of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop in the town of Colborne. After a conversation with the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking alcohol. The officer administered a roadside screening device test and the driver registered a fail.

As a result of the investigation, the accused Patricia REDDOM (age 49) was charged with the following offences:

Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Operation while prohibited under the criminal code contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Driving while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario

Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on March 11, 2020.
