Three People Sent To Hospital Following Collision In Cobourg

In Police Blotter

Three people were sent to hospital following a single vehicle collision on Sunday, January 5, 2020 in Cobourg.

The collision happened at approximately 5:45 p.m. when a car was travelling eastbound on McArthur Street (which is just north of the railway tracks on D’Arcy Street) failed to negotiate a left turn onto Cottesmore Avenue.

Speed may have been a factor in the collision as the vehicle with four occupants believed to be teenagers went into the ditch heavily before coming to an abrupt stop.

Three occupants were taken to Northumberland Hills Hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.

One person was not injured in the collision.

Police are continuing the investigation.
