Quinte West OPP – Slippery Roads Resulted in 19 Collisions

In Police Blotter

Overnight on December 1 and into the early morning hours of December 2, 2019 the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to and investigated nineteen motor vehicle collisions in the City of Quinte West.

Although most collisions reported only property damage, one sent a driver to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Now that winter has arrived, slippery roads are sure to become more common. OPP would like to remind all motorists to drive appropriately to weather and road conditions.

Please ensure all motor vehicle breaks and tires are in good working condition prior to travelling on our roadways.
