21st Annual Candlelight Walk for Breast Cancer Research Takes Place In Port Hope

The 21st annual Candlelight Walk for Breast Cancer Research was held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Port Hope United Church.

The walked kicked off at 7 p.m. with the Port Hope Police leading the procession followed by the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums then approximately 125 walkers joining in.

There was approximately $13,532 raised for the evening and over the years the walk has raised $209,154 for breast cancer research.

This year the walk had a new partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Cobourg Survivor Thrivers.
