Cobourg Police – Hate Symbol Displayed Outside Residence

The Cobourg Police are investigating a mischief that occurred at a private residence in Cobourg. On August 30, 2019, at approximately 6:30 pm, Cobourg police responded to a private residence for a report of a hate symbol being displayed outside the residence.

After an investigation it was discovered that this was done without the knowledge of the home owners.

The Cobourg Police Service has canvassed residents in the area, but they are also looking for any assistance from a member of the public who may have knowledge of this incident.

We ask that people refrain from posting pictures of the hate symbol out of respect to everyone this may affect.

The Cobourg Police Service encourages everyone to report any suspicious or criminal activity. If you have information that may help with an investigation, call Cobourg Police Service or anonymously on the Crime Stoppers “Hot Line”, available to callers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If your information leads to a charge or an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
