Update – Northumberland OPP Conducting Death Investigation

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating the sudden death of two individuals found at a residence north of the town of Campbellford.

On Wednesday July 17, 2019 shortly before 12:30 pm police responded to a weapons call on Thomson Road. Emergency first responders arrived to find a male and female with no vital signs.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit in conjunction with the Ontario Corner’s Office and with the assistance from the Central Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS) are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths under the direction of Detective Inspector Brad ROBSON of the Criminal Investigation Branch.

The investigation is in its early stages and further details will be released as they become available and deemed appropriate.

Police further advise that there is no public safety concern at this time.
