Drug Paraphernalia Found In Cobourg

In Police Blotter

A Beyond The Blue Box employee in Cobourg turned over drug paraphernalia to police on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

While putting garbage out on Wednesday, Supervisor Stu Weyman noticed two people in a concealed area just outside the property in bushes near the creek of Beyond The Blue Box acting suspiciously.

Weyman said after the two people left the area by the creek, he went over to the area and found items.

It appears a small amount of possible heroin in tin foil and a kit for “shooting up” including a spoon and knife were found.

Weyman said people used to drink alcohol in the area on a hot day, “but seems to be drugs now.”

Cobourg Police were contacted and picked up the items.
