Quinte West OPP – Weapons and Drug Charges

On May 23, 2019 at approximately 10:30 a.m. officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a parking lot off Monogram Place in the city of Quinte West.

Officers located the vehicle which contained four persons, including one minor who was later transported to hospital by ambulance for a suspected drug overdose.

Further investigation lead to the arrest of three males for possession of drugs and weapons.

Reginald Leonard Arnold CONLEY, 27 year old of Quinte West, Dorean GEERTSMA, 21 year old of Quinte West, and Tyler Jacob RUSSELL, 19 year old of Quinte West were charged with:

Weapons Dangerous
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Schedule IV, for the purpose of Trafficking

Reginald Leonard Arnold CONLEY was additionally charged with possession of weapon while prohibited.

Dorean GEERTSMA was additionally charged with, possession of weapon while prohibited and failing to comply with a probation order (2 x Counts).

Tyler Jacob RUSSELL was additionally charged with, failing to comply with a probation order (2 x Counts) and failing to comply with recognizance.

The accused were held for a Bail Hearing and were scheduled to attend Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 24, 2019.
