2018 Business Achievement Award Winners Announced

The Town of Cobourg and Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce have released the names of the winners of their 2018 Business Achievement Awards presented March 29.
The event was planned to recognize businesses in the Town of Cobourg and in the Townships of Hamilton and Alnwick-Haldimand.
“The ceremony offered an excellent opportunity to connect with some of Cobourg’s finest and celebrate our business community,” the town’s press release stated.
Karen McBurney led off the list with the Chamber Chair’s Award, followed by Lakeland Multi-Trade receiving the Mayor’s Award. The list thereafter included:
William Crossen Young Professional Award – Jacqueline Pennington
Nonprofit Sector of the Year – St. John Ambulance, Northumberland
Business of the Year, Business and Consumer Services – Denise Liboiron, Century 21 All-Pro Realty
Business of the Year, New Start-up – Lake To Skyview Farm Ltd,
Business of the Year, Health and Wellness – Nourish Boutique Spa
Business of the Year, Manufacturing and Agriculture – Miedema Farms Inc.
Business of the Year, Retail Trade – Grafton Healthcare Pharmacy
Business of the Year, Hospitality and Tourism – El Camino
Business of the Year, Skilled Trades – Keep On Rolling
Business of the Year, Communications and Technology – Northumberland 89.7 FM
The awards were presented at the annual gala held at the Best Western Plus Cobourg Inn and Convention Centre, and organizers are grateful to a long list of sponsors for making them possible, including COSIC (Cobourg Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Clinic) as their Crossen Award sponsor.
