Heavy Rain Brings Flooding To The Area of Northumberland County

Heavy rain on Sunday, March 10, 2019 brought flooding to the areas around Northumberland County including around Port Hope, Cobourg and Hamilton Township.
Hamilton Township firefighters worked to help Works Department crews with flooding in and around area homes in the community including on Van Luven Road and Oriole Crescent.
Ditches along Theatre Road were overflowing onto the roadway and across County Road 2 in Hamilton Township.
Works Department crews in Cobourg were clearing away the ditches along Elgin Street East and the ice on the Ganaraska River in Port Hope was breaking up by the library.
