Cobourg Police – Male Arrested for Break and Enter

The Cobourg Police Service has charged a man after responding to a report of a Break and Enter at a local establishment in the down town area.
On Thursday the 14th of February, 2019 at approximately 2:19am, police responded to a local business on George Street after receiving a report that someone had gained entry in a closed business and stole merchandise.
On the 20th of February after a police investigation, Benjamin Staples, 40 years old of Cobourg was charged for Break and Enter and Commit under the Criminal Code. Benjamin Staples was released from custody on a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 3, 2019.
