City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Break and Enter Leads to Arrest (Name Released)

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a break and enter in progress and arrested an involved party.

 On August 04, 2026, at approximately 05:39 am officers responded to a break and enter in progress in Emily Township. Multiple properties were victim to break and enter offences by the accused including the possibility of multi-jurisdictions incidents which are still under investigation by other police services. The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP is requesting anyone with additional information or surveillance footage from the area to please contact police if you haven’t already been spoken to.

Ronald Shaw, 36 year old of Oshawa was charged with:

·        Possession Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

·        Break and Enter a dwelling house with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence

·        Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay for a bail hearing later today.
