On July 30, 2026, at 11:57 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end regarding an unwanted person.
A female reported that an unknown male was attempting to enter her residence. Upon arrival, officers located the male and spoke with him. He advised that he was trying to attend a different house but could not provide an address. Officers observed the male to be extremely intoxicated, and he became uncooperative during the interaction.
For his own safety, a 26-year-old Brighton man was arrested and charged under the Liquor Licence and Control Act with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place. He was later released from police custody once sober.
