Cobourg Police – Crime Prevention Week 2018

In Police Blotter

The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services has designated November 4 to 10, 2018, as Crime Prevention Week in Ontario. The theme for this year is “Crime Prevention: Help Us Help You”.

It promotes a collective responsibility for community safety and well-being planning and emphasizes the importance of a collaborative process that engages a variety of sectors at the local level.

The Cobourg Police Service will be launching this event in collaboration with the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, the Town of Cobourg and local residents and community-based agencies.

This year, the Cobourg Police Service will be engaging in a number of programs to help ensure the safety of Cobourg as a community. Throughout this week, please stay tuned for the Tip of the day, watch for flyers from the Lock it or Lose it program as well as a booth being set up for Child Print and Community Policing through Environmental Design assistance.
