Cobourg celebrated the diversity that helps define the community during a vibrant Multicultural Festival held at Rotary Harbourfront Park on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

As part of the town’s Canada Day celebrations, residents and visitors gathered throughout the afternoon to experience a variety of cultures through music, dance, food, and interactive displays. The event showcased performances representing communities from around the world while providing an opportunity for people of all ages to learn about different traditions and customs.

Families strolled through cultural displays, sampled international cuisine, and enjoyed live entertainment, creating a festive atmosphere along the waterfront. The celebration highlighted the many cultures that call Cobourg home and reinforced the spirit of inclusion and community that was evident throughout the day.

The Multicultural Festival was one of several Canada Day events held across Cobourg, drawing large crowds to the waterfront despite the hot summer temperatures.
