Northumberland OPP – Firearms Stolen From Cramahe Township Residence

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – On October 15, 2018 members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist Cramahe Township Fire Department on Van Wicklin Lane for a structure fire that was fully engulfed. The cause of the fire has been undetermined.

On October 24, 2018 the owner of the home notified police that while working throug h the remains of the structure it was found that his gun vault had been breached. Eight long guns and one hand gun have been reported stolen.

The stolen firearms are described as:

  1. Colt New Frontier 22 revolver with serial number G133759
  2. Browning, bolt-action rifle with scope
  3. Lakefield Arms, bolt-action rifle with 5 round curved magazine and scope
  4. Lakefield Arms, bolt-action rifle with 5 round curved magazine
  5. Winchester  9422M, lever-action rifle
  6. Remington 7600, pump-action rifle
  7. Remington 7600, pump-action rifle with scope
  8. Two pump-action shotguns

Members of the Peterborough/ Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) are assisting with this ongoing investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call their nearest OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the Peterborough/Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 and not have to appear in court. You can also submit information online at www.stopcrimehere.ca.
