Cobourg Police – Incidents Include, Assault, Breach of Probation, Intimate Partner Violence (No Names Released)

A 37-year-old Cobourg woman has been charged with assault following a disturbance at a residential building.

On March 20, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers were called to a residential building in the area of King Street East after a report of an unwanted person. Police learned that two individuals who did not reside in the building were asked to leave. A verbal dispute ensued, during which one individual attempted to strike the other. No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with assault. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.


A 37-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after a breach of probation arrest.

On March 21, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m., police on patrol observed an individual in breach of probation and release conditions. During the arrest, officers located a quantity of crack cocaine. As a result, the 37-year-old Cobourg woman was charged with Fail to Comply with Release Order, three counts of Fail to Comply with Probation, and Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released.


A 28-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after a police investigation into an intimate partner violence incident.

On March 22, 2026, police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the Town of Cobourg. Police initiated an investigation and learned of other instances of violence.

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with Assault, Assault cause bodily harm, Sexual Assault, and Intimidation.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
