Northumberland OPP – Investigating Theft of Tools

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are currently investigating the theft of several tools from a house under renovation in Alnwick-Haldimand Township.

On October 24, 2018 the owner of the house located on Shelter Valley Road north of Grafton, Ontario reported to police that sometime overnight suspect(s) entered the house and detached garage. Reported stolen were several power tools, numerous hand tools, battery packs, and battery chargers. Two chainsaws were also removed from the owner’s truck that was parked in the driveway.

The Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigations and would ask that anyone with information to call their nearest OPP detachment. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the Peterborough/Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 and not have to appear in court.
