MNRF – Ministry Seeks Public’s Help in Case of Shot and Abandoned Deer

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for shooting and abandoning a fawn deer.

On October 22, 2018, conservation officers were made aware of a dead fawn deer that had been located by a member of the public. Officers attended the location on Simcoe Island, south of Kingston, and determined that the deer had been shot and abandoned.

You can also call the ministry’s Kingston office during regular business hours at (613) 531-5701. And visit Ontario.ca/mnrftips to view an interactive, searchable map of unsolved cases. You may be able to provide information that will help solve a case.
