Belleville Police – Belleville Man Charged with Mischief

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 95 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on March 3, 2026 to 5:00 am on March 4, 2026.

Mischief
On March 4th at 3:04am, Belleville Police responded to a business on Dundas St E regarding a report of an unwanted individual who was being aggressive toward staff.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the male, who stated that he intended to keep calling 911 until he arranged transport to another location, which he proceeded to do in front of the officers.

While officers were speaking with the individual, two fire trucks arrived on scene, responding to a separate call that had also been placed by the male.

As a result of investigation, a 64-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with:

· False alarm of fire

· Public Mischief

· Fail to comply with a probation order X5

He was held for a bail hearing.
