Durham Regional Police – Drug Investigation Results in $7 Million Seizure

An investigation by the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) has resulted in one of DRPS’ largest drug seizures.

On Monday, February 23, 2026, investigators with DRPS’ DEU concluded a drug investigation that resulted in one of DRPS’ largest drug seizures. Investigators took a 17-year-old male into custody for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and subsequently executed a search warrant at a facility in Toronto.

During the search warrant, 325 kilograms of cocaine, valued at over $7 million was located and seized.
