Video – Photo Gallery – Battle of the Badges Hockey Game in Support of Food Bank

In Community, Local, News

The Battle of the Badges took place at the Keeler Centre in Colborne on Friday, December 19, 2025.

The game was between the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) and Cramahe Township Fire Department.

It was a exciting game from start to finishing and going into the third period the game was tied 4-4.

But the OPP took the lead with a few minutes left in the game, then when Cramahe firefighters pulled the goalie, OPP scored a empty netter taking the game 6-4.

There was a bit of a tussle between the two teams during the end of the game where tempers flared, but calmer heads prevailed.

The event raised close to $1,000 and a large amount of non-perishable food items for the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank.
