Cobourg Police – Incidents Include Stolen Purse, Stolen Vehicle, Theft, Theft Under, Property Obtained by Crime (No Names Released)

A 33-year-old Port Hope woman is facing charges after police were dispatched to a business in the north end of Cobourg Monday morning.

On November 24, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., police attended a business in the area of Elgin Street and Burnham Street in Cobourg, after it was reported that a woman had stolen a purse and vehicle.

At approximately 12:10 p.m., police located the suspect and vehicle. As a result of the investigation, the 33-year-old Port Hope woman was arrested and charged with

Theft of a Motor vehicle, break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, operation while prohibited, fraudulently possessing a Credit card, three counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance (Fentanyl, Crack Cocaine, and Psilocybin). The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.


A 37-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after police were dispatched to a business on Monday afternoon.

On November 24, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., police responded to a report of shoplifting at a business on Elgin Street West in Cobourg. As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and fail to comply with probation. The accused was released on an undertaking, with a future court date.

The Cobourg Police Service notes that since November 2024, the accused has been arrested nine times with nine criminal charges. In total, police have had 21 interactions with the accused in the past year.
