Port Hope Police and Northumberland OPP – Community Donation Announcement

In Police Blotter

The Port Hope Police Service, Port Hope Police Services Board and Northumberland OPP are pleased to announce donations of $5,593.25 each to the Port Hope High School Thrift Shop and the Northumberland Youth Wellness Hub.

These contributions are made possible through funds raised by the OPP D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Initiative, which has a long history of supporting youth engagement and community well-being. Rather than allowing the funds to remain unused, the Board felt it was important to reinvest them locally in initiatives that continue to make a positive impact.

Both the Port Hope High School Thrift Shop and the Northumberland Youth Wellness Hub provide important supports to young people in our community — offering opportunities to learn, connect, and grow in safe, inclusive spaces.

Through this donation, the Board reaffirms its commitment to fostering partnerships that strengthen youth development and community resilience in Port Hope and across Northumberland County.
