Cobourg Police – Youth Arrested in Robbery Investigation

Youth arrested in robbery investigation. Police are working to identify two others involved.

On October 19, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., police conducting a patrol on King Street West near Division Street in Cobourg were notified of an individual who had been assaulted and robbed of his belongings by three male youth suspects. Through investigation and CCTV footage review, police identified one of the suspects.

As a result, on November 2, 2025, a 17-year-old male from Baltimore was arrested and charged with Assault with a weapon and Robbery with violence. The youth was held in custody pending a Show Cause Hearing.

The investigation remains ongoing as police work to identify the two other involved suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca. Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
