Port Hope Police – Woman Arrested During Theft in Progress (No Name Released)

A 41-year-old Port Hope female was charged with theft following an incident at a local business.

On September 3, 2025, Port Hope Police were dispatched to a business on Peter Street for reports of a shoplifting incident in progress.

Upon arrival, officers located a female suspect inside the store actively concealing clothing items in a bag and removing price tags. The suspect was placed under arrest for Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting .

The suspect was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date scheduled for October 8, 2025, and was issued a trespass order from the business.
