Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 108 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on August 12, 2025 to 5:00 am on August 13, 2025.
Assault
On August 12th at approximately 6:45am, Belleville Police responded to a call in the city’s west end regarding a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, police located two females in a parking lot and spoke with both parties. It was reported that one female had been striking the other female after being denied entry into a building. As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with assault. She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in September.
Flight from Peace Officer
On August 12th at 9:45pm, Belleville Police responded to the city’s west end regarding a traffic complaint. While in the area, officers observed a vehicle driving erratically and attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to stop and fled from police. Officers discontinued the pursuit due to public safety.
The information was shared with Quinte West OPP, who later advised they had located and arrested the suspect driver.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Frankford man is charged by the Belleville Police Service with:
· Flight from Peace Officer
· Operating while prohibited X4
He was held for a bail hearing.
