Belleville Police – Incidents Include Impaired Charge, Warrants, Disturbance, Assault, Drug Charges (No Names Released)

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 377 calls for service over a beginning at 5:00 am on August 1, 2025 to 5:00 am on August 5, 2025.

Impaired Driver
On August 1st at 2:40pm, Belleville Police responded to the city’s north end regarding a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, police observed a vehicle with significant damage. Officers located the driver who was observed to be impaired. As a result of investigation, a 49-year-old Scarborough man was arrested and charged for operation while impaired. He was released on an Undertaking with a court day in August.

Warrants
On August 2nd at approximately 12:00pm, Belleville Police on general patrol in the city’s east end observed a male who was known to have one outstanding warrant with Belleville Police Service. As a result, a 54-year-old Belleville man was arrested on the strength of the warrant. He was held for a bail hearing.

Disturbance

On August 2nd at 9:15pm, Belleville Police attended a residence in the city’s east end regarding an intoxicated 17-year-old female causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the parties involved and believed the situation was defused and departed. Approximately 30 minutes later, officers were called back as the female was continuing to cause a disturbance in the building. As a result, she was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor License and Control Act.

Assault
On August 3rd at approximately 10:00am, Belleville Police attended a residence in the city’s east end regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke to both parties involved and learned that the male party was assaulted after a verbal altercation. As a result, a 35-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with:
· Assault
· Uttering threats

She was held for a bail hearing.

Warrant, Drugs
On August 3rd at approximately 11:30am, Belleville Police on general patrol observed a male walking on North Front St. who was known to have one outstanding warrant with Belleville Police Service. Officers approached the male and upon further investigation, found that the male was in possession of drugs. As a result, a 37-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:
· Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for purpose of trafficking X3
· Failure to comply with probation order

He was held for a bail hearing.
