In Police Blotter

On July 16th at approximately 9:00pm, Belleville Police responded to an ambulance assist at an apartment building in the city’s east end.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with paramedics and learned that a male had called EMS five times within 24 hours requesting hospital transportation.

Each time, he was transported and then would return home immediately.

Officers also learned the male had made 21 emergency calls for transportation to the hospital in the last five days.

Police cautioned the male and left the residence.

Five minutes later, he called 911 again.

As a result, a 69-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and charged with public mischief.

He was held for a bail hearing.
