Peterborough County OPP – Driver Charged with Impaired Following Traffic Complaint (Name Released)

Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation after receiving a traffic complaint for driving behaviour.

On Saturday July 05, 2025 at approximately 9:04 pm officers responded to a traffic complaint regarding a motor vehicle northbound on Highway 35 south of Highway 7. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in Lindsay and entered into an impaired driving i nvestigation. The driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving related charges as well as Highway Traffic Act Offences.

Jordan Dixon, 34-year-old of Ajax, was charged with:

Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

Careless Driving

Drive Motor Vehicle, No Currently Validated Permit

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days and drivers license was suspended for 90 days.
