Lemon-Aid for Northumberland Hills Hospital Returning to Northumberland County

In Local, Upcoming Events

With summer officially here, Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation is pleased to announce Lemon-Aid for NHH is returning for the season. This event invites the young and young-at-heart to raise funds in support of the hospital.

First introduced in 2022, Lemon-Aid is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to sign-up to host a lemonade stand anytime from now until the end of August, with the proceeds donated to NHH Foundation. This event has proven to be a popular initiative and has raised more than $15,500 in support of NHH since inception.

“The Lemon-Aid event continues to be a well-loved event by many,” shares Rhonda Cunningham, NHH Foundation CEO. “Our hearts have been warmed to see those around our community excited about their upcoming stands and about giving back to our hospital. For some – including many children and relatives of those on the NHH team – this has now become a summer tradition.”

Lemon-Aid is once again sponsored by Davis’ Your Independent Grocer in Port Hope and upon registration, participants will receive kits to help them get their stands started. There is no age
restriction for participating, and the Foundation hopes to see both new and returning hosts get
on board this year.

Those interested in hosting a stand can contact Katie Ito, NHH Foundation Communications
and Special Events Coordinator at kito@nhh.ca or 905-372-6811 ext. 3065 to sign up and coordinate a kit pick-up.

Locations of stands will be shared throughout the summer on both the Foundation’s website, and social media channels. Funds raised through Lemon-Aid will be totaled at the end of the summer season and a collective total will be announced.

Visit www.NHHFoundation.ca for more information on how you can register to participate and to find a list of upcoming Lemon-Aid stands to visit throughout the summer.
