Video – Eleven Motor Vehicles Removed from Service Following Commerical Motor Vehicle Inspection

A total of 11 motor vehicles were removed from service after Cobourg Police held a Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection.

Cobourg Police in conjunction with MTO Inspectors, Peterborough Police, and Port Hope Police inspected 27 vehicles and three modified vehicles on Thursday, June 19 and Friday, June 20, 2025.

A total of 11 vehicles were removed for service as a result of the inspections.

There were a total of 43 charges laid through the Highway Traffic Act or the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

Charges included overweight vehicles, improper/defective breaking systems, improper tires, fail to complete daily inspections, and fail to display inspection sticker.
