Belleville Police – Incidents Include MVC, Stunt Driving

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 116 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on May 29, 2025 to 5:00 am on May 30, 2025.

Motor vehicle collision
On the 29th of May at 4:00pm, Belleville Police attended a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Bridge St and Front St. Minor injuries were reported however Paramedics were not required. Following the police investigation, a 45-year-old Prince Edward County man was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for making an improper left turn.

Stunt driving
On the 29th of May at 7:43am, a member of the Belleville Police Traffic Safety Unit was monitoring the speed of traffic on Bell Blvd when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed registering 107 km/h in a posted 60km/h zone. Police stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as a 22-year-old Belleville man. He was charged with stunt driving by excessive speed and issued a summons with a July court date. In addition, his drivers licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
