City of Kawartha Lakes Police – Investigating Break and Enter

Break and Enter

On April 20th, 2025, at approximately 2:38 a.m., the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a burglary alarm at a King St convenience store and found that a suspect had gained entry into the business by smashing through the front entrance glass door.

While inside, the suspect stole a large quantity of cigarettes before fleeing the scene. An extensive area search was unable to locate the suspect.

The Criminal Investigations Branch is continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist in the investigation is asked to contact the Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch at 705-324-5252 or Kawartha Haliburton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
