The Hub Branch of Port Hope Public Library, located at the Port Hope Community Hub in Canton, will be temporarily closed from March 24 to May 5, 2025, due to renovation work on the lower level. This closure is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of both library visitors and staff. The reopening date may be earlier, depending on construction progress.

During the closure, materials can still be returned via the book drop at the Hub. Wi-Fi will also remain available in the upper parking lot. For full services, please visit the Mary J. Benson Branch at 31 Queen Street (downtown Port Hope) or access our 24/7 virtual library at www.porthopepubliclibrary.ca.

The scheduled book sale on May 24, 2025, will proceed as planned. To donate books to the sale, contact the library at 905-885-4712 to arrange donation drop-offs.
