Filming Downtown – March 24, 2025
Residents are advised that a small film crew will be in the downtown area on Monday, March 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to shoot scenes for an upcoming holiday movie, “Once Upon a Christmas Crown”.

Filming will occur inside and outside of 57 Walton Street (G Facey Clothing) and on the sidewalk in front of 8 – 12 Queen Street. Set dressing and take-down will occur on the same day of shooting and will involve fake snow and Christmas decorations.

Impacts will be minor, but include the following:

Parking impacts
The production company has paid for 3 parking spaces near the two film locations on Walton Street and Queen Street. They have also reserved 10 spaces in the Elias Street parking lot for the day.

Pedestrian impacts
During outdoor filming, the sidewalks will be closed in front of the two locations. Pedestrian traffic will be diverted to the sidewalks across the street. However, access to businesses and residents will be maintained and accommodated throughout filming.

Road impacts
There will be no road closures for this filming occurrence.

Impacted residents in the area have been notified via a resident letter. For more information about filming in Port Hope, visit our filming webpage.
