Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Two People Charged Following Stabbing (No Names Released)

On March 6, 2025 at approximately 9:07pm the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a Lindsay apartment for a report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived on scene and learned that two males inside, who were known to each other, had entered into a verbal argument which escalated to a physical altercation. During the altercation a knife was produced by one male who eventually lost control over the weapon.

The second male then used the knife to stab the first male multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot.

The victim was transported to Ross Memorial Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was identified and surrendered to police shortly after the incident.

Police have determined that there is no risk to public safety and as a result of the investigation:

A 45-year-old Lindsay man was charged with:

· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

· Assault with a weapon

He was released with a future court date.

A 29-year-old Lindsay man has been charged with:

· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

· Assault with a weapon

· Assault causing bodily harm

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
