Cobourg Police Service – Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance

In Police Blotter

Warrant apprehension and bail compliance continue to be a priority for the Cobourg Police Service (CPS) in 2025.

Between January 13 and January 31, 2025, 12 arrests were made for outstanding warrants and other bail and release order violations.

Five individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants held by police services in other jurisdictions.

Three were returned to the jurisdiction of the warrant.

The Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project is part of a broader strategy for ongoing and integrated bail compliance efforts to ensure adherence to conditions and to reduce the risk of reoffending while improving community safety and support victims of crime.

The community is a key partner in ensuring public safety. We encourage community members to report bail or release violations, suspicious activity, and crime to police.
