In Local

A bit of shuffling is taking place with the Cobourg Fire Service as a result of a collision.

On February 3, 2025 a pumper with the Cobourg Fire Service was struck while attending a call on Highway 401.

One firefighter was taken to hospital and is recovering at home suffering minor injuries.

The fire apparatus that was struck was being replaced with a new one scheduled to arrived on Wednesday, February 12.

The damaged pumper has been sent to an appraiser and will either be repaired and sold, or sold for parts.

Currently members of the public may see other fire apparatus including a aerial/platform truck responding to incidents like medical calls.
