Breaking News – Video – Wicklow Home Destroyed by Fire

A home south of Wicklow was destroyed by fire on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department were called to the residence located at 268 Wicklow Beach Road around 11 p.m.

When fire crews arrived the home was enveloped in flames along with at least one vehicle.

All three stations from Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department responded along with assistance from Cramahe Township Fire Department with manpower and shuttling water to the scene.

The home was destroyed by flames before firefighters arrived at the scene.

As the home was lost upon arrival, firefighters focused their efforts on protecting other exposures from the radiant heat and flames.

One occupant long with two dogs escaped and weren’t injured in the fire.

There is no cause of the fire, but fire crews are expected to remain on scene most of the night.

The fire is deemed not to be suspicious at this time.
