Durham Region Police – Male Died After Single Motor Vehicle Collision in Clarington

Police are investigating after a single vehicle collision resulted in a fatality in Courtice.

On Sunday, December 8, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m., members of East Division were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Courtice Road, just south of Pebblestone Road. The motor vehicle was travelling northbound when it entered into the ditch and struck a tree. The male driver was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he was pronounced deceased.

The vehicle involved was a white crew cab Dodge Ram with a small rectangular diamond tread aluminum sheet over the left rear tire.

Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. This collision is still under investigation.

Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
