Cobourg Man Charged with Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Breach

Friday, December 6th, 202

At approximately 1:25 pm, police were called by loss prevention staff at a Division Street business
after a male stealing several items and leaving the store. Officers located the male, and he was
arrested. The 30-year-old male from Cobourg, was charged with theft under, possession of
property obtained by crime and breach of release order. He was held for a bail hearing and later
remanded into custody.

 

Person Charged with Assault, Possession of Cocaine

Saturday, December 7th, 2024

At approximately 12:30 am, police were called to an Elgin Street address for the report of a
domestic dispute. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim with visible injuries. The
accused was arrested and charged with assault (spousal) and possession of a schedule 1 substance
– cocaine. He was transported to Cobourg Police where he was held for a bail hearing and later
remanded into custody. The victim was treated by paramedics on scene.
