Video – Northumberland OPP – Seeking Publics Assistance Following Collision

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a collision that occurred on Highway 401 and are asking for witnesses to come forward with information.

On November 6, 2024, at approximately 3.15 p.m., OPP responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover on Highway 401 westbound in the Township of Hamilton. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and fire departments from the Township of Hamilton and Cobourg also responded to the incident.

Officers arrived and observed a heavily damaged pickup truck on the north side of the highway. The lone occupant was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two out of three lanes were closed for the investigation and clean up.

Northumberland OPP are asking anyone who may have witnessed, has video/dash cam footage or information relating to the driving of the blue pickup truck prior to the collision, and has not yet spoken with police, to contact the Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Officers also believe the vehicle was also in Cobourg prior to the incident. Ref: E241484264.
