Video – Town of Cobourg Clarifies Confusing Left Turn Lane

In Local

The Town of Cobourg has cleared up confusion regarding a confusing intersection.

For the past several weeks there have been pylons put in place in the southbound, left turning lane of D’Arcy Street at King Street East.

Manager of Communications Kara Euale stated, “while construction takes place on Brook Rd. North, traffic is being diverted to D’Arcy Street. Vehicles travelling south on D’Arcy Street are permitted to turn left onto King, however, due to the presence of heavy trucks who require a wider turn radius, the left-hand turn lane has been blocked off to ensure they have the space to avoid any damage to their vehicles.”
