Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Facing Assault Charge

A 55-year-old man is facing charges after police responded to a call on Thursday night.

On Thursday, August 29, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to an unknown 9-1-1 call in the east end of Cobourg. Police arriving on scene located a woman who had fled her residence after being assaulted by her partner. No physical injuries were reported.

As the result of the police investigation, a 55-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with

Assault –

Spousal and intimidation.

The accused was held for a Show Cause Hearing and remanded into custody with a future court date.
