Cobourg Police – Cobourg Woman Charged with Assault (Name Released)

A 36-year-old Cobourg woman has been charged after police responded to a fight on Saturday afternoon.

On Saturday, August 31, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police responded to a report of two women fighting in the north end of Victoria Park. Upon arriving on the scene, police located a woman with facial injuries and was transported to hospital treatment. Police located the other woman involved in the altercation a short time later.

As the result of the police investigation, Ashley Sheward (36) of Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with assault cause bodily harm and fail to comply with probation.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
