Quinte West OPP – Three Quinte West Residents Facing Drug Trafficking Charges (Names Released)

Three Quinte West residents are facing drug trafficking charges.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and Quinte West OPP Detachment began an investigation in early August regarding the sales of illegal drugs, specifically cocaine, in the community.

On Thursday, August 29, 2024, CSCU and Quinte West officers, along with members of the OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on McGill Street. Two men were arrested at the scene and a third was arrested today, Friday, August 30, 2024, after a warrant was issued.

Officers seized a large amount of suspected cocaine, along with suspected fentanyl, hydromorphone, morphine and clonazepam. Over $7000 in cash and items typically association with drug trafficking were also seized.

Fred PARKER, age 54, Roger PARKER, age 80, and Felkin PARKER, age 21, have each been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – four counts
  • Possession of a Schedule 4 substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime

Fred PARKER was remanded in custody until another appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville. Roger PARKER and Felkin PARKER have been released and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
